【English Translation】 Great Treasure Trove TD1102 A Daily Practice of Vajrapani Tummo Flame Garland. Chöwang Vajrapani Tummo, Flame. A Daily Practice of Vajrapani Tummo Flame Garland. Namo Guru Vajrapanaye (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎ་ཡེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु वज्र पाणये, Sanskrit Romanization: Namo guru vajra pāṇaye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Vajrapani Guru). From the treasure of the Lord of Dharma, the Empowerment of the Secret Gathering of the Unsurpassed Guru, the Special Practice of the Guru Lion's Roar, the Constant Yoga of Glorious Vajrapani Tummo Flame Garland. Refuge and Bodhicitta: Namo! To the Guru, Three Jewels, and Yidam Deities, I respectfully take refuge until all beings fill space. In order to attain the supreme, unsurpassed enlightenment, I will meditate on Vajra Tummo. (Recite three times) May all sentient beings have happiness and its causes, May they be free from suffering and its causes, May they never be separated from bliss without suffering, May they abide in equanimity, free of bias, attachment and anger. Thus, meditate on the Four Immeasurables. The Four Stages of Generation: In a moment, through the power of samadhi, I myself become the form of Vajra Tummo, Blue in color, with one face and two arms, The right hand holds aloft a five-pronged vajra, The left hand holds a threatening mudra at the heart, Standing atop a lotus, sun, moon, and human corpse, With the right leg bent and the left leg extended, Wearing a tiger skin as a lower garment, Mouth open, baring sharp fangs, Three eyes, with pupils intensely red, Adorned with earrings, necklaces, And bracelets on hands and feet, Decorated with snakes of wrath, Residing amidst a blazing fire of the eon. Visualize clearly and then recite the mantra: At the heart, on a sun disc, a blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ), From the mantra garland circling to the right, Rays of light, mantra sounds, and flames emanate, Shining outward, burning harmful enemies and obstacles, Gathering inward, destroying the five poisons of affliction, The glorious great one, in the nature of body, speech, and mind, The four activities are spontaneously accomplished. 【English Translation】 gara ca māraya bhariśaya phaṭ (藏文，梵文天城體轉寫無法提供，gara ca māraya bhariśaya phaṭ，Destroy!) Recite seven times or as appropriate. The concise completion stage is: the outer and inner worlds dissolve into light into oneself, and oneself also dissolves into the heart-life hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ， हूँ，hūṃ，seed syllable). That also dissolves into the invisible, free from elaboration state, the Wrathful One arises as great clear light bliss. By this merit, may I quickly attain the Vajra Wrathful One. Etc., dedicate, make aspirations, and auspicious prayers. If practicing this, the root mantra should be recited one million times, and signs should appear for the mantra with the Garuda suffix. The activity mantra, such as the long mantra, should be recited for three days, etc., according to one's ability. Especially when mainly performing subjugation, repulsion, etc., when reciting the 'day' syllable of the long mantra, insert 'at Gugu' and 'subjugate at Naga' and then recite. In general, in daily practice and empowerment, etc., the Garuda practice and the mantra with the Garuda suffix are necessary. This is an uncorrupted oral instruction from the Pangton lineage, which I heard from my lama. This was written by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, a yogi who received the kindness of this method from Drolton Jampel Yang Chokyi Gyaltsen, following the lama's oral instructions that opened the meaning of the root terma, in a concise and essential way.
