【English Translation】

The practice of the Peaceful and Wrathful Hundred Deities from the profound oral transmission of the Mind Treasure of the Sky Dharma (Namchö). Namchö Peaceful and Wrathful, Treasure Text. Homage to the Primordial Protector, the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities! To practice the Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities, there is no need for a mandala or torma. Visualize yourself as Vajrasattva, with a white body, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a vajra at the heart, and the left hand holds a bell at the hip, with legs in the lotus position. Wear white silk celestial garments and be adorned with precious ornaments. Within the Dharma wheel at the heart, generate the forty-two peaceful deities in complete adornment and attire. Visualize the assembly of vidyadharas (knowledge holders) at the throat, and the skull as a celestial palace, containing fifty-eight blazing, blood-drinking deities. Then recite this mantra: Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Bodhicitta Mahāsukha Jñānadhātu Āḥ Oṃ Rulu Rulu Hūṃ Bhyo Hūṃ! Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Svāhā! Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ! Recite these three mantras as much as you like, and you will accomplish the Hundred Peaceful and Wrathful Deities. Samaya! Gya Gya Gya! Next are the activities: First, purify the obscurations of offerings. No substances are needed, just this mantra and visualization: Visualize Vajrasattva on your crown, in the same form as before, and nectar flows from his body, purifying all obscurations of offerings. Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ! Tadyathā: Kume Kume, Satani, Anile, Hanali Bhadha Vajrasattva Mama Svāhā! Samaya! Gya Gya Gya! Next is guiding the deceased, which is sufficient with just this mantra and visualization: Visualize yourself as Vajrasattva, and clearly visualize the deceased in front of you. From the sacred place of your heart, the forty-two peaceful deities emit light of their respective colors, touching the deceased, completely purifying all their sins and obscurations, and transferring their consciousness to the pure land they desire. Then, perform liberation through recitation as follows: Simply reciting this mantra is sufficient. Ah Ah Sha Sa Ma Ha, Mam Bhandha Mi Ta Ru, Ah Ha She Ah Na Li, Ah Eh Tha Bhandha Ma, Sha La Sha Ah Ka Kang, Sa Mu Ti Ka Na Li, Ma Wa Ni Su Ne Ah, Ha Gi Shar Ha Ha Ha Ha, Sa Ma Ya, Gya Gya Gya. Then, perform liberation through seeing as follows: Whoever sees this syllable 『Gya』, will be liberated through seeing, hence it is called liberation through seeing. On your own crown, visualize Vajrasattva and the noble Hundred Deities (Dam pa rigs brgya), as described before. With strong remorse, thinking of all the vows and transgressions that have been violated, confess them all. By thinking in this way, a stream of nectar descends from the body of Vajrasattva, making up for the broken vows and deficiencies. Finally, visualize Vajrasattva dissolving into yourself.
